Terms and Conditions
1. Agreement
By booking a taxi and using the services provided by Cockfoster MiniCab, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions as the binding agreement between you and Cockfoster MiniCab.
2. Definitions
1.1 Parties: In this agreement, "Cockfoster MiniCab," "we," or "us" refers to the service provider, while "you" or "your" refers to any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.
3. Booking
3.1 Punctuality: You are responsible for allowing sufficient time for your journey, including airport transfers. Failure to allocate ample time or being unprepared for collection is not the responsibility of Cockfoster MiniCab.
3.2 Luggage and Passengers: It is your duty to request a vehicle of appropriate size for passengers and luggage. No guarantee is made for excessive luggage, and children count as individual passengers.
3.3 Wheelchair Access: If wheelchair access is needed, please request this at the time of booking.
4. Prices & Payment
4.1 Quotations: Prices provided by Cockfoster MiniCab are based on the information you provide. Unless stated otherwise, prices are exclusive of VAT, and additional charges may apply. Material changes to the itinerary may lead to adjusted quotes.
4.2 Waiting Time: Our quote includes a 45-minute waiting period after the specified landing time and airport parking costs. Extended waiting periods are subject to standard waiting rates. While we strive to accommodate flight delays, it is not obligatory for us to do so.
4.3 Booking Confirmation: Upon accepting our quote, you will receive a booking confirmation. Please review it for accuracy. Failure to report any errors will absolve Cockfoster MiniCab of responsibility for resulting delays or costs.
4.4 Payment: Payment for our services can be made in cash, by credit card, or debit card.
5. The Service
5.1 Passenger Behavior: You are accountable for the behavior of all passengers during the journey. Cleaning charges may apply if the vehicle is soiled, damaged, or negatively affected.
5.2 Restrictions: Eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed in the vehicle.
5.3 Child Safety: Children should be appropriately restrained based on their height, weight, and age.
5.4 Passenger Limit: The number of passengers carried is subject to licensing and insurance regulations.
6. Cancellations
6.1 Cancellation Notification: Promptly contact us to cancel your booking. Charges apply for cancellations after dispatch, based on time and distance covered by the driver.
6.2 Online Booking: If you cancel a booking made through our online system before dispatch, a cancellation charge may be imposed.
7. Liability
7.1 Delays: Cockfoster MiniCab is not liable for losses resulting from uncontrollable delays. We disclaim responsibility for any losses incurred by you or your business under all circumstances.
7.2 Luggage Risk: Your luggage is transported at your own risk.
7.3 Breakdowns: In the event of a vehicle breakdown, we will endeavor to provide an alternative vehicle to minimize disruption to your journey.
7.4 Indemnity: You will not hold Cockfoster MiniCab accountable for any expenses, damages, costs, or losses arising from actions or omissions of anyone in your party.
7.5 Legal Limits: No party can exclude or limit liability for personal injury, death, negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or other matters prohibited by applicable laws.
8. Termination
8.1 Right to Terminate: We reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking immediately if the safety of the vehicle or driver is compromised, such as through abuse, violence, or damage. No refunds are provided for terminated journeys.
9. Miscellaneous
9.1 Subcontracting: Cockfoster MiniCab may subcontract its obligations as outlined in this agreement, and you may not transfer your rights or obligations under this agreement.
9.2 Terms Updates: We may modify the terms and conditions at any time, with changes reflected on this page. It is your responsibility to review these terms regularly. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.
9.3 Data Protection: We handle information in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988.
9.4 Full Agreement: This agreement represents the complete understanding between Cockfoster MiniCab and yourself.
9.5 Third-Party Rights: No third party can enforce rights under this agreement unless a written agreement is established.
10. Disputes
Any dispute or claim must be raised within 30 days from the booking pickup date, as Cockfoster MiniCab is not obliged to consider claims or disputes submitted after this timeframe.
